Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Q: What is your deposit policy when booking?
A: To reserve your pet’s stay, we require a 50% non-refundable deposit at the time of booking. This ensures your pet’s spot is secured during their scheduled visit.
For extended stays longer than two weeks, exceptions may be considered on a case-by-case basis. Please contact us directly to discuss available options.
Q: Do you offer any discounts?
A: Yes! We’re happy to offer a 20% discount on stays of 30 days or longer.
We also provide a 20% discount for each additional pet boarding from the same household, making it more affordable for multi-pet families.
Q: What items can I bring for my pet’s stay?
A: You’re welcome to bring food for your pet, provided it is in a sealed container to ensure freshness and safety. You may also bring blankets, beds, toys, or other comfort items to help your pet feel more at home.
Please note that while we do our best to care for your pet and their belongings, The Canine Cottage is not liable for any items that may become damaged or chewed during their stay.
Q: What are your drop-off and pick-up hours for boarding?
A: Our standard drop-off and pick-up hours are between 8:00 AM and 12:00 PM.
If you need to schedule a drop-off or pick-up between 12:00 PM and 5:00 PM, a $10 fee per animal will apply.
Please note that we do not allow drop-offs after 5:00 PM. Pick-ups after 5:00 PM will be charged as an additional full day of boarding for each animal.

We recommend booking early, as holiday availability fills quickly.
A: Your dog’s health and safety are our top priorities. If your pet becomes ill and appears to need veterinary care, we will contact you immediately to discuss the situation and obtain your permission before transporting them to a veterinarian.
During regular business hours, we will take your dog to Raeford Animal Hospital. If care is needed after hours, we will transport them to Small Animal Emergency Services for immediate attention.
If you prefer your pet to be seen by a different veterinarian, you will need to arrange for someone to pick up your dog and transport them to the provider of your choice.
Please note that all veterinary expenses incurred during your pet’s stay are the responsibility of the owner.
